Stress Test Labocosmetica on Abarth 124 Rally EN
Keeping your car clean and well protected over the long term is one of the challenges tackled by the new detailing department of Labocosmetica.
This is a common concern for all car enthusiasts and collectors who, now more than ever, wish to preserve the beauty of their vehicles over time.
We decided that the renowned Winter Marathon, a race involving over 12 hours in ice and snow and off-road conditions, would be the best opportunity for trialling our products: no other company has gone so far to test the performance of its inventions.
We wanted to conduct a special "stress test" to try out the treatments of Labocosmetica for the world of detailers.
Our Abarth 124 Rally, driven by Marco Mattioli and Mario Pensotti, was treated with the following products before the Winter Marathon:
Aquavelox (Glass Coat) is a protective coat that forms a water-repellent barrier on the windscreen and improves visibility when it rains, even without use of the windscreen wiper.
Beneficia (Hydro Sealant Wet Coat) is a hydro-sealant for wax and protective coats.
Hydra (Hyper Dressing Sealant) is a dressing for internal and external plastics that guarantees an excellent beading effect and protection for about 3 months.
Revita (Wash & Coat Shampoo) is a neutral shampoo for washing and sealing and lending gloss and protection similar to that of nano sealants for a minimum of 4 months.
All these products are very easy to apply.
After 1048 km of mud, ice and snow, our Fiat Abarth 124 Rally Spider returned to the Labocosmetica Detailing Centre for testing the performance of the protective coats.
We simply washed it with water at a pressure of 50 Bar, and the result was astonishing. The dirt on the half of the car treated with Labocosmetica came off as easy as anything, leaving the surface beneath perfectly clean and protected. The dirt on the half of the car treated with conventional products, instead, was still caked on and difficult to remove with water alone.
This extreme test proved, without a shadow of a doubt, that the Labocosmetica treatments offered better protection and made the car less vulnerable to dirt on the road.
The cotton swab test proved this.
As a result, cleaning could be carried out with the greatest of ease even with just water and without the need for a washing glove.
But we didn't stop there.
To prove that Labocosmetica treatments can last a long time even when washing with a glove, we used Semper (Neutral Maintenance Shampoo with a High Lubricating Action). This is a special maintenance shampoo. Its gentle cleansing action is such that it does not alter any of the characteristics of the chemical protection of the Labocosmetica products previously applied on the car.
After the Winter Marathon, the Abarth 124 CSA Rally Stradale was quite exceptionally dirty. This test allowed us to establish, once and for all, the outstanding protection and long-lasting effects of the products of this brand new line which will assuredly become a "must" for detailers throughout the world.
